Rebecca Masisak is the CEO of TechSoup Global, an award-winning nonprofit organization and social enterprise, supporting social benefit organizations and initiatives in 80 countries.Ms. Masisak joined the organization in 2001 to launch and chart the growth of TechSoup Global's technology product donation program in the U.S. and subsequently led its global expansion. As CEO, Ms. Masisak has been instrumental in building and scaling TechSoup Global's capacity and reach to support the entire portfolio of TechSoup Global's programs, which bring information, human capacity, and resources to the communities that need them most. Founded in 1987, TechSoup Global has distributed 12.4 million software and hardware product donations from 90+ donors and technology providers and enabled organizations worldwide to save more than US$4 billion for direct services.Ms. Masisak led the development of the TechSoup Global Network, currently comprised of 53 organizations that deliver programs in Africa, Asia Pacific, the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. In addition, Ms. Masisak led TechSoup Global’s successful bid to receive the Council on Foundation’s formal endorsement to create NGOsource, an equivalency determination service that helps U.S. grantmakers streamline their international grantmaking process. Ms. Masisak also orchestrated a merger or combination (the term under British law) with GuideStar International, a noted international NGO with a competency of creating a publicly visible data structure for civil society organizations in participating countries.Ms. Masisak speaks about social enterprise, global networks, and data as a resource for civil society. She was awarded the Full Circle Fund's Full Impact Award in Technology in 2008. She co-leads the Social Enterprise Leadership Forum in the San Francisco Bay Area and is active on two boards, Telecentre.org Foundation and S.A.G.E. (Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship). Ms. Masisak obtained her MBA from the Columbia University Business School and previously worked as a management consultant with Coopers & Lybrand and in leadership roles at several Internet businesses. She holds dual citizenship in the U.S. and Croatia.
